Tips on Finding Your Perfect Toothbrush

Tips on Finding Your Perfect ToothbrushIt's easy to get confused about what toothbrush to go for, with all of the options available to us. There are so many styles, sizes, and shapes. So how do you go about choosing your next toothbrush?

Soft Bristles

We recommend you go for toothbrushes with soft bristles. These are the very best kind for removing debris and plaque from your teeth. You should also go for the ones with small heads as these are better able to access all areas of your mouth, including those teeth at the back of your mouth that are really hard to reach.

Go For a Handle You're Comfortable With

When it comes to the handles of your toothbrush, you again have plenty of options. There are flexible neck brushes, rectangular and tapered heads, and so on. Even when you go for soft bristles, you've got trimmed, dome shaped, flat, and rippled bristles to choose from.

Here our advice is that you go for what you're comfortable with. No design is objectively superior to another; it really all depends on you. The very best toothbrush is the one that allows you to gain access to all of your teeth without straining and also fits your mouth comfortably.

Powered Toothbrushes

Powered toothbrushes actually aren't such a bad idea. They do a better cleaning job than normal toothbrushes and are great if your manual dexterity is limited or you generally have difficulty brushing. So if you can afford a powered toothbrush, we advise you to get one.

While we're talking about all of this, let's not forget that you should replace your toothbrush no more than three months after you start to use it. You should also change it right after you've had a cold to avoid reinfection.
